Now the hardware has changed between these two devices. For instance, A2DP and MMS won’t be available on the iPhone 1st gen. It’s also available for the iPod touch… for $9.95.

This is BS. Don’t give me any garbage about the hardware changing between the Edge and 3G versions of the iPhone. Phones have been able to get MMS messages for YEARS now and there is no reason the iPhone was released in the first place without it. And there is no reason the original iPhone cannot receive MMS!!
