Andreas Serna over at TheFightNetwork.com is reporting that Joe “Diesel” Riggs and Jason “Mayhem” Miller will fight each other in the WEC this October.
“I’m fighting Mayhem at the WEC in October,” said Riggs. According to Riggs, the bout will determine a contender for the WEC middleweight title; the promotion will crown a fresh champion Sunday with a showdown between undefeated Brazilian Top Team rep Paulo Filho (13-0) and resilient Canadian Joe Doerksen (39-9), broadcasted live the on VERSUS Network.
You may recall Riggs’ most recent fight last monght in the Hardcore Championship Fighting promotion where the UFC gave Riggs’ an ultimatum - win the fight or lose his current Zuffa contract. Riggs won his fight and will now make his return to the WEC and take on fellow WEC and UFC veteran Jason Miller.
