I blame WEEI for jinxing the Red Sox last night. I already hate the station but this just added fuel to the fire.
I’m driving home around 7:30 to watch the game and I’m listening to the pre-game show on the radio. During the commercial break, a commercial plays with the following:
“The Red Sox are going back to the World Series. Congratulations to the 2008 American League Champions.”
Did anyone else here this commercial? As soon as I heard it, I looked to my wife and said, “Leave it to EEI to screw up game 7.”
How can you let a post-win, congratulatory commercial slip onto the air before the game even starts?!?!
